SolidCAM UK invests in Ireland!

SolidCAM UK Ltd have recently appointed a new Applications Engineer to join their ever expanding team. Due to increased demand within Ireland, Dr Shane Keaveney, has been appointed to provide existing customers and the next generation of SolidCAM and InventorCAM users with dedicated, efficient, Irish-based support, helping them to improve their manufacturing processes.

“At SolidCAM UK Ltd, we strive to recruit the very best from industry and academia to guarantee that our customers receive the highest levels of service right from the initial contact, through to after sales support and service. We are dedicated to investing in the development of all of our staff, to ensure we uphold our high standards”, Gordon Drysdale, Managing Director, SolidCAM UK Ltd.

As a result of Ireland becoming one of the leading MedTech suppliers within the global market, demand for powerful, easy-to-use, efficient and revolutionary CAM software has increased.

“Many of our customers use premium and expensive materials and demand absolute accuracy in production. With SolidCAM, we can offer the reliability, productivity and cost reductions essential for success in these sectors”, added Gordon Drysdale.

Takumi Precision Engineering Ltd based in Limerick, Ireland, one of SolidCAM UK’s respected customers, supply, and works on behalf of, organisations within the pharmaceutical, aerospace, medical devices and precision engineering industries worldwide. Having customers that demanded the highest levels of quality and service lead Takumi to invest in the leading CAM solution for Autodesk Inventor, InventorCAM.

“InventorCAM has revolutionised our approach to CNC programming and new product introduction within Takumi. For years we had adopted a piece meal approach of CAM and manual programming. Investment in InventorCAM complemented by accurate post processors and ongoing training has transformed our approach. No job is too difficult and the excellent simulation graphics ensure that even the most complicated 5 axis jobs are right first time. All of our programmers have been energised and are far more productive thanks to this software.” Gerry Reynolds, Managing Director, Takumi Precision Engineering Ltd. (www.takumiprecision.com).

SolidCAM UK believe that the timely employment of Shane Keaveney will enable the company to further exceed the expectations of their customers. Shane Keaveney said, “Given Ireland’s position in both the medical device and pharmaceutical industries, it’s a very exciting opportunity to be a part of the expanding SolidCAM UK Ltd team.”
